The Georgia Audubon

Georgia Audubon is a member-supported, non-profit organization dedicated to protecting Georgia’s birds and their habitats. We are a thriving, bird-focused organization that combines serious conservation, education, and advocacy with activities that build community and foster the joy of birding.

Georgia Audubon serves all 20 metro Atlanta counties and areas of North Georgia. We engage across the state in collaboration with other groups that share our mission. We speak for the birds to create a public policy focus on conservation of birds and their habitats. With a committed staff, a focused board, and a flock of talented volunteers, Georgia Audubon strives to share our passion with others to connect people with nature and to inspire everyone to be stewards of birds and the environment. We build trust and credibility by being honest, hardworking, and responsible with rigorous attention to sound science and long-term thinking.

Guided Bird Walks

Georgia Audubon field trips are a great way to learn more about our breeding residents and migrating birds. They are also a great way to meet other people who share your interest in birds. We have a number of field trips on the calendar for the spring, and we hope you can get out and learn more Georgia's resident and migratory birds from Georgia Audubon's enthusiastic field trip leaders.

Georgia Audubon field trips are free and open to the public. Beginning birders are welcome on our trips because this is a great way to learn about birds and to meet other people that share your love of birds and the outdoors! Some sites, such as state and national parks, require entry/parking fees. If registration is required, this need will be specified in the details.
